We’re back for a #MusicalBibleStudy discussion on “139” by Kings Kaleidoscope with Addie and Trevor.
Addie (age 9): My favorite part of the song is the last verse.
“You are the God who knows and loves me
The God of David, the Rock of Ages”
It reminds me of my favorite bible verse John 3:16.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
I like this verse because it says God’s love is so great that it will make you live forever.
Trevor: I feel the true omnipotence of God is sometimes lost on us. In an age where everyone seems connected and everything is available at our fingertips we sometimes overlook how isolated we have actually made ourselves, technology and society leaving us “connected” but alone. I appreciate the verse:
“I could run away or hide beneath the sea
You’d still hear my prayers
I could climb the peaks or dive beyond the deep
Oh my God! You are there”
Many of us distance ourselves from God, be it knowingly or unknowingly, but he is still there, and will continue to be there. He is ready to shower you in His love and bring you life everlasting.
“It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens.” Jeremiah 10:12
If you are feeling distant to God, or perhaps alone, ashamed, or wavering in faith. Remember, He is there, understanding, loving, and accepting waiting to carry you to His kingdom.
